Gas tank is single cap style with a right side petcock location that uses 1975-up type and a fuel capacity of 3.1 gallons. The tank uses teh same mounting as an original tank.
Tank is made 2" wider than stock and includes stock style mounts. Check the tank for flaws or fit before painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean, condition, and seal which helps stop leaks and prevents corrosion. Check petcock opening, making sure the petcock can be easily installed. Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of petcock. The center-to-center width between front and rear mount holes measures 15-1/4". Tank accepts 3/8" petcock. *Note: UPS may consider this part as packaged "oversize" for shipment, as compared to the actual weight, which will result in higher shipping costs.
