Raw tank set accepts cateye dash plate, early 1936-1946 shifter gate and gas shut off rod kit.
Drain plug is 5/8"-18UNF. Feed thread is 1/8"-27NPT. Vent hole for banjo bolt is 3/8"-24 UNF. Return Hole is 1/8"-27NPT. May require fuel rod alignment, using V-Twin #16-0182, prior to painting, and installation of the shut off rod assembly. Check the tank for flaws or fit before painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean, condition and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check petcock opening to be sure the petcock can be easily installed. Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of petcock. *NOTE: Gas is on the left and oil is on the right. **Note: UPS may consider this part as packaged "oversize" for shipment, as compared to the actual weight, which will result in higher shipping costs.
